About the role
- Provides technical or industry knowledge to contribute to the completion of multiple engagement phases.
- Demonstrate capabilities with moderate level of oversight and collaboration with more senior level professionals.
- Scope and size of projects they contribute to are generally smaller or they may own a smaller portion of a larger project.
- May lead a small to medium size effort or project team.
- May delegate team work assignments through various phases of an engagement.
- Functions as a technical specialist or in a lead role.
- Under general direction, develops and applies advanced engineering techniques, concepts and approaches to complex engineering problems.
- May provide technical guidance over a group or supervise engineering staff on projects of low to medium complexity.
- 'May be responsible for developing, validating, and presenting specialist/technical output'
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Technical advisory – preferably in O&M and engineering services, engineering modifications and upgrades in gas/coal plants.
- Experience with other generation technologies such as renewables, geothermal, and hydro is an added advantage.
- Construction management and supervision experience.
- Experience in proposal development would be an added advantage.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Post-graduation is an advantage.
- Certifications is an advantage - IAM certificate, CMRP, CAMA, AEE Energy Manager, BEE Energy Manager and Auditor
- Fully comfortable with Microsoft office suite and especially Microsoft excel, exposure to other management tools would be a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline.
