About the role
- Assume a strong leadership role of the execution of technical project investments
- Oversee the successful delivery and management of multiple projects
- Communicate with sponsor and end user of the project output
- Assign duties and responsibilities to project personnel
- Establish and implement an appropriate communication plan
- Create multi-level project work breakdown structures
- Project a strong leadership persona through all project interactions
- Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of information
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems (or a related field), project management or general business management
- Eight or more years of IT experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
- A minimum of five years of demonstrated competency in an assistant project management role or project management role involving the execution of multiple projects or a large project
- Experience in leading a team; experience in leading through influence vs. authority
- In-depth experience with project management methodologies (for example, that of the Project Management Institute and Agile approaches), and when to use them
- Strong knowledge of project-planning tools, such as MS Project, MS DevOps, and Jira
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
