About the role
- Develops familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides
- Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts
- Contributes to preparation of less complex engineering deliverables
- Performs routine research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
- Collects, assimilates, and manages data for engineering work
- Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles
- Shares information with others as requested
- Focuses on the needs of internal clients while attempting to gain basic understanding of external client's interests
- May provide support to business development or pursuit activities
- Shares current knowledge of latest technology and processes
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must have less than 2 years of professional engineering or construction experience (internships do not count toward years of experience)
- Must have work authorization and will not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa
- Coursework and knowledge of Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations
- Previous internship experience
- Basic knowledge of engineering design principles, design guides and standards
- Insights of industry trends and developing technologies
- Fundamental knowledge of construction practices and principles
