About the role

  • Lead major projects or programs from planning through construction
  • Present updates to external client stakeholders and support decision-making
  • Provide oversight of the program schedule and budget using internal processes and manage large inter-discipline teams of internal and subconsultant resources
  • Lead a Team that provides technical solutions focused on water supply/treatment/distribution, wastewater collection/treatment, biosolids management, recycled water, water quality regulations and utility infrastructure systems
  • Provide recommendations on client’s processes, organization, and readiness to embark on major programs and alternative project delivery
  • Support the team’s use of risk-based assessments to develop and prioritize capital improvement programs
  • Provide project execution, quality control, and technical leadership to support large water and wastewater projects and programs
  • Lead and provide technical expertise to support marketing and business development
  • Support pursuit, proposal, and project interview activities
  • Work closely with Client Directors and the Area Director to develop relationships with clients and decision makers in Texas
  • Help mentor professionals and grow the Team by identifying high quality candidates and recruits

Requirements

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (preferred)
  • 20+ years of relevant water engineering experience (preferred)
  • Experience managing large water and wastewater programs and projects
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater conveyance and treatment regulations
  • Proficient with technical and thought leadership surrounding water and wastewater infrastructure systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience providing input and oversight of technical tasks and project teams
  • Proficient with report writing and PowerPoint presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
  • Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search)
