About the role

  • Own end-to-end monthly payroll processing for Malaysia and assigned regional markets.
  • Manage statutory submissions and compliance (e.g. EPF, SOCSO, and income tax).
  • Perform payroll checks, reconciliations, and validations prior to payout.
  • Process salary adjustments, promotions, bonuses, allowances, and ad-hoc payments.
  • Coordinate and manage payroll vendors, regional payroll partners, and EOR providers.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and documentation for HR and management.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in payroll workflows and support improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience in payroll operations, preferably covering multi-country or regional payroll.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems, HRIS tools, and spreadsheets.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong coordination skills to work effectively with HR, Finance, and external vendors.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement.
