About the role
- Own end-to-end monthly payroll processing for Malaysia and assigned regional markets.
- Manage statutory submissions and compliance (e.g. EPF, SOCSO, and income tax).
- Perform payroll checks, reconciliations, and validations prior to payout.
- Process salary adjustments, promotions, bonuses, allowances, and ad-hoc payments.
- Coordinate and manage payroll vendors, regional payroll partners, and EOR providers.
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and documentation for HR and management.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in payroll workflows and support improvements.
Requirements
- Experience in payroll operations, preferably covering multi-country or regional payroll.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems, HRIS tools, and spreadsheets.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem-solving ability.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong coordination skills to work effectively with HR, Finance, and external vendors.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement.
