Pirate Wires is growing fast, and we’re looking for a Creative Director to lead the charge on all things visual.
This is a foundational role — you’ll own the look and feel of the brand across every medium, from our website to social to physical merch.
Core responsibilities include: Brand Design & Visual Identity: Own and evolve the Pirate Wires brand — from typography and color palettes to how our voice translates visually across formats.
Website & Product Design: Oversee design of the site and any digital products. You should be confident working with developers, shipping pages fast, and ensuring everything feels cohesive and on-brand.
Art Direction: Lead creative direction for our media, newsletters, social content, and promotional campaigns.
Merch & Drops: Design and direct all merch releases — from initial concepts and mocks to production and packaging. You’ll run point on everything from creative to vendor coordination.
Creative Operations: Build scalable design systems and processes that allow us to move fast without compromising quality. You’ll help set the standard, then enforce it.

Requirements
Strong design portfolio demonstrating brand design and visual identity
Experience leading art direction for media, newsletters, social content, and campaigns
Experience in product and website design; able to work with developers
Experience creating and directing merch releases; production coordination
Ability to build scalable design systems and processes; operate autonomously
Remote-friendly; able to work independently
Creative director / leadership experience (brand ownership)
