About the role
- Reviews client requirement and provides feedback
- Responsible for creating test plans and strategy
- Reviews and re-evaluates the test strategy to adjust for new information, changing risks, shifting priorities, and schedules
- Plan and conduct system integration testing and in-sprint testing
- Oversees testing delivery to make sure work is scheduled based on priorities, risks and team strengths and assignment of resources across projects
- Participates in Go/No-Go meetings in different phases of SDLC
- Create execution plan and report execution progress with Metrices
- Perform exploratory testing to ensure zero defect leakage to UAT
- Conduct defect triage meeting to ensure correct RCAs, severity, priority are assigned to defects
- Leads/mentors Test Engineers and shares knowledge to make sure QA staff meets technical qualifications required for their positions
- Create automation plan and ensure right automation candidates are picked by the team
Requirements
- 12+ years’ Experience in manual testing various applications, services and user interfaces
- 5+ years’ experience as Test Lead
- Domain expertise- Must have PLM Windchill Testing experience
- Manual testing expertise
- Experience managing a team of QA Engineers
- Experience in communicating with clients
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall processes
- Understanding of user interface design
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance best practices & methodologies
- Familiarity with various defect management systems
