About the role
- Overseeing the implementation, improvement, verification, and validation of the SQF program while maintaining the integrity of the quality system.
- Establishing, implementing, and directing quality control initiatives to ensure all products meet expectations.
- Collaborating closely with manufacturing teams to plan and manage inspection activities.
- Reviewing all QMS documents annually and ensuring they meet the intent of the SQF Code.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining Policies and Procedures that align with SQF requirements.
- Conducting studies and research to determine feasibility of opportunities for process and product development.
- Creating and implementing improvement opportunities based on research and trials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years quality related experience in tissue industry required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word required.
- Advanced knowledge of JD Edwards and Quality Windows, ParcView or similar system(s), preferred.
- Working knowledge of quality testing meters and gauges required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Technical problem-solving skills and ability to lead and execute major quality projects.
