About the role
- End-to-end sales activities: maintenance, support and expansion of the existing customer base
- Manage assigned customer portfolios in daily business, including preparation of quotes
- Conduct price negotiations in close coordination with the business unit
- Compile, analyze and extract relevant market information
- New customer acquisition and development of additional sales opportunities
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process
- Occasional customer visits and participation in market-relevant meetings
- Work independently on: tracking quotes, performing price calculations, supporting annual contracts
- Coordinate internal processes, including handling complaints (first level)
- Close cooperation with internal interfaces such as Credit Management, Logistics and Customer Service
Requirements
- Completed commercial training or degree — ideally with a chemical or pharmaceutical focus
- Several years of professional experience (ideally 3–5 years) in commodity trading, e.g., in Key Account Management, Product Management or inside sales
- Confident and persuasive communication skills
- Independent, structured and reliable way of working
- Business-fluent English
- Proficient with MS Office and SAP
- Willingness to travel occasionally
