About the role
- Creation, optimization and updating of technical documentation for machinery and plants
- Writing operating and assembly manuals, spare parts catalogs and other technical documents
- Preparation of technical content in accordance with applicable standards and regulations (e.g. Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, Machinery Regulation EU 2023/1230)
- Close collaboration with internal design/engineering teams, service and assembly teams as well as sales and project planning
- Commissioning and coordination of external translation projects
- Structuring and standardizing documentation processes
- Participation in the optimization and expansion of the use of the authoring/editorial system
- Creation of illustrations and graphics
- Support in risk assessments and safety-related documentation
- Organizational/administrative management of assigned work packages
Requirements
- Completed degree or technical training in mechanical engineering with additional qualification as a technical writer
- Professional experience in technical writing, ideally in machinery or plant engineering
- Excellent technical understanding and the ability to present complex issues clearly
- Experience with authoring/editorial systems and graphic tools is an advantage
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
- Independent, goal-oriented and precise working style
- Reliability in meeting deadlines
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Very good MS Office skills and basic knowledge of SAP; ideally experience with XML-based authoring systems and image-editing software
- Excellent German language skills (spoken and written) and good English language skills (spoken and written)
