About the role

  • Owning billing process for B2B
  • Perform AR aging analysis and proactively resolve outstanding discrepancies
  • Manage collections process, ensuring timely and effective communication with clients
  • Collaborate with the cash application team to accurately apply payments and resolve unapplied payments
  • Oversee the AR inbox for BetterHelp B2B business, providing timely responses and resolutions to inquiries
  • Ownership of the revenue audit requirement and inquiries
  • Assist the Senior Accountant in recording credit card transactions and maintaining accurate records as needed
  • Assist in managing AP inbox and other AP related tasks as needed
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, i.e. journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day accounts receivable cash application in AR subledger
  • Responsible for various accruals at month end and assigned reconciliations
  • Prepare various balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis for management reporting
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement, including engage cross functionally on such initiatives
  • Assist on projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed
  • Provide schedules as needed for audit and SOX
  • Have experience with foreign currency accounting to assist with inter-co and international transactions

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting
  • Solid understanding of the accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Superb time management and detail orientation
  • Proficiency with Google Drive, Google Sheet, Excel
  • Ability to keep company and partner confidences
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a high ambiguous environment
  • Bonus (nice to have): Previous startup experience
  • Bonus (nice to have): Previous experience in the healthcare industry
