About the role

  • Lead the day-to-day strategy and execution across key social platforms, primarily X (Twitter) and Instagram.
  • Manage and develop a small team, overseeing scheduling, prioritization, and professional coaching.
  • Drive real-time coverage during live games and major sports moments to capture fan engagement.
  • Set clear content standards and maintain a consistent brand voice across all copy, visuals, and formats.
  • Collaborate across departments, working closely with Editorial, Design, Growth, Product, and Marketing teams.
  • Track and report on performance metrics, using data to iterate, optimize, and scale what works.
  • Support sponsored and partner content while protecting the brand’s credibility and voice.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as the sports calendar requires
  • Experience with common productivity and design software used for content creation
  • Experience with digital/social tracking tools, particularly Sprout Social, preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and take initiative on new projects.
  • Strong collaborative skills.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in sports or social media.
