About the role
- Lead the day-to-day strategy and execution across key social platforms, primarily X (Twitter) and Instagram.
- Manage and develop a small team, overseeing scheduling, prioritization, and professional coaching.
- Drive real-time coverage during live games and major sports moments to capture fan engagement.
- Set clear content standards and maintain a consistent brand voice across all copy, visuals, and formats.
- Collaborate across departments, working closely with Editorial, Design, Growth, Product, and Marketing teams.
- Track and report on performance metrics, using data to iterate, optimize, and scale what works.
- Support sponsored and partner content while protecting the brand’s credibility and voice.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of social media platforms.
- Availability to work nights and weekends as the sports calendar requires
- Experience with common productivity and design software used for content creation
- Experience with digital/social tracking tools, particularly Sprout Social, preferred, but not required.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and take initiative on new projects.
- Strong collaborative skills.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in sports or social media.
