About the role
- Ensure proper resolution of all registration, coverage, and eligibility related issues
- Post all manual adjustments as necessary and select the appropriate adjustment codes
- Resolve external clearinghouse edits and payor rejections
- Make updates to patient registration and initiate rebilling of accounts
- Attend and actively participate in monthly conference calls with assigned physician group
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in registration billing and denial management environment-related field
- Billing Certification Preferred – Epic Resolute Professional/Hospital Billing Admin (Proficiency, Proficiency w/ Honors, or Certification)
- Strong knowledge of third-party payor reimbursement, eligibility verification process, and government and payor compliance rules
