About the role
- Review energy usage on a daily basis for the facility and provide guidance, best practices, and modifications of current operations.
- Mentor the owner on energy strategies.
- Manage the Central Energy Plant Operation and Maintenance including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers.
- Manage the Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the CEP.
- Work with the operators to ensure the plant operates efficiently.
- Perform ongoing training of the Plant Operators.
- Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual.
- Assist the EPC team with the coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction activities with OMC operations.
- Coordinate on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts with remote support services team.
- Responsible for managing a single team or multiple teams consisting of one or more Asset Managers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in managing multiple sites or in a central plant
- Well versed in building codes and associated standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree (ABET Accredited Program) preferred
- PE preferred or FE working towards obtaining PE
- Travel Requirements: 10-25% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
