About the role

  • Serve as primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding all leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, medical, parental, disability (short- and long-term), military, and other statutory or company-sponsored leaves
  • Manage the full leave lifecycle, including intake, eligibility determination, documentation review, case tracking, return-to-work coordination, and case closure
  • Provide guidance on accommodations and return-to-work strategies in partnership with managers and HR, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Partner with Workers’ Compensation representatives on overlapping or related cases
  • Maintain accurate leave records and coordinate payroll/time adjustments within HRIS systems
  • Troubleshoot system issues within the leave management platform and recommend process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations while maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Deliver responsive, professional customer service through phone and written communications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in leave administration
  • HRIS benefits administration and other insurance carrier administration systems experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite with advanced experience in Outlook, Word and Excel required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary
