About the role
- Serve as primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding all leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, medical, parental, disability (short- and long-term), military, and other statutory or company-sponsored leaves
- Manage the full leave lifecycle, including intake, eligibility determination, documentation review, case tracking, return-to-work coordination, and case closure
- Provide guidance on accommodations and return-to-work strategies in partnership with managers and HR, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Partner with Workers’ Compensation representatives on overlapping or related cases
- Maintain accurate leave records and coordinate payroll/time adjustments within HRIS systems
- Troubleshoot system issues within the leave management platform and recommend process improvements
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Deliver responsive, professional customer service through phone and written communications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in leave administration
- HRIS benefits administration and other insurance carrier administration systems experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite with advanced experience in Outlook, Word and Excel required
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and accurate
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary
