About the role
- You manage the demand and sales for your assortment area, ensure optimal product availability and at the same time maintain economical stock levels
- You translate the assortment strategy into assortment planning, taking into account sales, margin, sell-through and inventory targets
- You derive purchasing budgets from the assortment plan, take responsibility for them and allocate them across categories and brands
- Through continuous controlling you ensure that budget, sales, margin, sell-through and inventory targets are met – you independently identify areas for action and define effective measures
- You coordinate measures closely with relevant stakeholders, oversee implementation and contribute to successful assortment and sales management through clear communication
Requirements
- You have a degree in business administration (BWL) or e-commerce, or a comparable qualification
- You have several years of professional experience in merchandise management, category management or retail planning
- You have a fundamental understanding of company processes and understand the impact of your decisions on sales, purchasing, finance and logistics
- You have very strong analytical skills, ideally BI knowledge, and can support your decisions with data
- You are a team player, know how to convince your partners across functions and bring an agile mindset
- You work independently and conscientiously as a matter of course
- You have very good German and good English skills
