About the role

  • Provide functional application management, support, and consultancy across SCM modules in Dynamics AX 2009/2012, including:
  • Inventory Management
  • Procurement & Sourcing
  • Sales & Distribution
  • Warehouse Management
  • Master Planning
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and system configurations.
  • Lead and support functional improvements, system enhancements, and upgrade activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
  • Conduct system testing (SIT/UAT), training sessions, and documentation for business users.
  • Support the transition from legacy AX versions to modern Dynamics platforms where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, change management procedures, and best-practice methodologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience working as a Functional Consultant or Application Manager within SCM modules.
  • Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and AX 2012 (functional configuration, support, process design).
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes in medium-to-large enterprises.
  • Experience with incident management, service delivery, and working within ITIL-based environments.
  • Ability to perform detailed functional analysis and produce high-quality documentation.
  • Proven experience working with cross-border teams and multicultural stakeholders.
  • Professional-level Dutch proficiency (written and spoken) is mandatory due to stakeholder and user communication requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Desirable
  • Exposure to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) is an advantage.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, logistics, or retail industries.
  • Understanding of integrations, interfaces, and data migration processes.
