Enforcing best practices for Looker development, including naming conventions, design standards, and version control.
Translating fast evolving business requirements into consistent Looker models and subsequent Looks and Dashboards.
Leading on collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements and configure Looker dashboards and reports to meet business needs, with the ability to translate ambiguous or broad questions into structured workflows.
Spotting data anomalies and/or quality issues and flagging them effectively to the relevant teams.

Requirements

4-5 years of direct experience in a typical analytics / insights / BI or a similar style of team, with 1+ year in a senior/lead capacity.
Expert proficiency with SQL, with Google dialects being advantageous here.
Demonstrable understanding of LookML and experience designing and maintaining LookML models (or other platforms with a semantic layer framework).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, both technical and non-technical, and across time zones.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
A willingness to learn and adapt to advances in data analytics, particularly with a view to the use of AI in self-serve reporting.
An ability to function well in an environment that takes an iterative approach to product testing and rollout, where adaptability is key.
