About the role
- Support the development and maintenance of national technical guidance, training, and practice tools
- Research technical accounting and assurance matters using authoritative guidance and firm resources
- Draft responses to assurance consultations for review by senior members of the National Assurance team
- Assist in drafting and updating firm policies relating to assurance engagements
Requirements
- A CPA designation and proficient knowledge of assurance standards in Canada
- Minimum 3 years (post designation) of assurance experience in a public accounting firm
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Possess a basic understanding of other standards, policies and procedures that interact with assurance, including quality management standards, accounting, risk management, independence, tax, etc.
