About the role

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and sales expertise of the medication management market and solutions (Medication Dispensing (Pyxis) and Medication Prep (PharmacyKeeper)), customers, challenges, market trends, BD value proposition(s), sales process
  • Consults and works collaboratively with training team peers, sales management, sales representatives, marketing and other BD departments on sales training needs
  • Assesses/Test/Certify knowledge, skills, and competencies of entire sales organization
  • Ability to own and teach curriculum focused on Medication Dispensing (Pyxis) and Medication Prep (PharmacyKeeper)
  • Designs horizontal training for onboarding, basic and advanced sessions to improve sales execution and results
  • Uses advanced tools and methodologies for training; delivers advanced level of classroom and remote training and facilitation
  • Recognizes and identifies key impacts, measures and methods to improve sales skills, resulting in improved results
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the clinical, operational, financial, and regulatory impact of Medication Management throughout the healthcare market
  • Responsible for BD's Medication Dispensing (Pyxis) and Medication Prep (PharmacyKeeper) solutions
  • Designs and delivers competency-based sales training curriculum (clinical, product, financial and project management skills) to support and reinforce business goals
  • Connects both Med Management Solutions and Business Unit solutions to customer needs
  • Designs and delivers innovative, interactive training designed for immediate application in the field
  • Focuses on pre training, training, and post training approaches
  • Serves as a key conduit for transferring business unit knowledge to the sales force
  • Functions as a critical liaison, requiring the skills to assist the Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to develop materials that reflect the sales process and meet the learning needs of the sales force
  • Analyzes and identifies ongoing sales force training needs, requirements and objectives
  • Ensures timely updates to course curricula to reflect changes in product offerings and market demands
  • Prepares oral and written participant evaluation and follow up with their managers
  • Develops course content for special projects, such as national and regional training, product launches, and the National Sales Meeting
  • Manages the logistical planning and organizing of pretraining activities, and of all assigned sales training programs (class preparation and setup)

Requirements

  • Sales experience and expertise in Medication Management (Dispensing marketplace and solutions) preferred
  • 3 – 5 years capital/IT sales and people management preferred
  • Sales Training experience preferred
  • Leadership training/development, Selling Skills, and Sales Methodology experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 5 yr work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Demonstrates strong understanding and importance of business and sales processes
  • Able to spend ~ 2-3 weeks/quarter in San Diego
