About the role

  • Design, build, and ship the systems and infrastructure that power our applications.
  • Provide reliable, robust, and fast CI/CD pipelines.
  • Propose new technologies or approaches that can improve our infrastructure.
  • Create tooling to improve the developer experience.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Continuously monitor and improve our infrastructure for performance, stability, scalability, and security.
  • Build automation systems following code pattern best practices.
  • Working closely with developers to improve developer workflows.
  • Build and improve automation for building new environments.
  • Implement security best practices, from OS-level patches to internal processes.
  • Participate in the on-call engineering rotation.

Requirements

  • 10 to 15 years experience in a software engineering or DevOps role
  • 8+ years of experience supporting high-availability systems on AWS.
  • Experience building or supporting services in a service-oriented architecture.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform, helm, etc).
  • Experience creating and managing a CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Github Actions)
  • Hands-on experience at least in one scripting language Java, Python or Golang.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • Fluent in understanding and applying common security principles.
  • Experience with test automation.
  • Expert-level proficiency with version control (Git).
