Job Level

About the role

  • Own board and investor prep end to end: financials, operating metrics, narrative, materials, and coordination, ensuring leadership walks in aligned and well-prepared.
  • Lead financial planning across the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling, effectively covering much of what a Director of Finance would own.
  • Build and run the company’s operating cadence, including quarterly planning, goal setting, and follow-through.
  • Design and lead a weekly executive business review covering revenue, spend, hiring progress, and product timelines, keeping discussions focused on decisions, not updates.
  • Act as a thought partner to the CEO and leadership team, pressure-testing plans, clarifying priorities, and helping translate strategy into concrete operating plans.
  • Coordinate auditors, compliance work, and external financial partners, keeping the process tight and predictable for the rest of the team.
  • Plan and run leadership off-sites and on-sites, with clear objectives, strong preparation, and outcomes that actually change how the team operates.
  • Leverages AI and automation tools to scale personal impact, extend capacity, and operate at a higher strategic level.

Requirements

  • Experience operating at the leadership level in a product-led tech company, ideally having owned or co-owned P&L, strategy, or general management responsibilities.
  • Deep comfort with financial planning, forecasting, and metrics, with the ability to explain tradeoffs clearly to non-finance leaders.
  • Prior experience as a Chief of Staff, GM, VP, or similar role where you were trusted to operate as an extension of the CEO.
  • Strong data instincts. You know how to ask the right questions of numbers, not just report them.
  • Proven experience preparing board materials and leading board-facing processes.
  • Judgment and presence to sit at the leadership table as a peer, not a coordinator or note-taker.
  • Nice to Have: Experience in gaming, consumer subscriptions, or marketplace businesses.
  • Prior exposure to audits, complex compliance environments, or international operations.
  • MBA or similar background, if paired with real operating experience.
Benefits
  • Remote by Design: We’re a fully remote team with processes and tools intentionally built for effective, distributed collaboration.
  • Collaborative Culture: Enjoy a supportive environment where cross-team collaboration and rapid iteration are highly valued.
  • Impactful Contribution: Play a hands-on role in advancing our most popular titles.
  • Professional Growth: Expand your skills by working alongside experienced teammates hailing from EA, Small Giant Games, Rovio, and Pocket Gems.
  • Competitive Benefits & Pay: Compensation is at or above the 75th percentile for the gaming industry, most health plans are fully covered or low-cost, and we offer unlimited PTO to support long-term, sustainable careers.
