About the role

  • Engaging with the Technical and Procurement teams to manage and optimize our resins toolbox by coordinating complexity reduction efforts through analysis of costs, quality, and supply security.
  • Conducting market and competitive research to understand the resins market as well as industry market trends and unmet market needs.
  • Successfully engaging across the business, you will collaborate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to manage resins’ capacity and drive projects to fulfill it with IP relevant resins that provide value to our formulations.
  • Engaging with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, and technical colleagues to ensure seamless launch/introduction of new resins to achieve business plan objectives.
  • Tracking raw material cost development and assessing our risk profile of current supply position for resins.
  • Being part of a collaborative team of product managers covering the entire coatings product portfolio, supporting on ad-hoc commercial projects, and learning on the job to develop insights into the automotive coatings market

Requirements

  • Have earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Engineering or related degree or equivalent blend of knowledge and experience.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience/professional background in Product Management, Marketing, Technical or Sales within the Automotive Industry.
  • Have strong communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder management skills as well as attention to detail will ensure that our business teams make informed decisions based on facts/data.
  • Are a highly motivated team player while seeking individual development into both technical and commercial topics.
  • Have strong Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP capabilities to ensure effective costing analysis, development of strategic content, etc.
