About the role
- Developing code, performing testing, resolving issues, and collaborating with teams to ensure the software's functionality, reliability, and user-friendliness by employing advanced programming techniques and adhering to all relevant BASF development guidelines.
- Using your expertise to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet user or client needs.
- Collaborating with customers, users, architects, business solution consultants and coach team colleagues with less experience.
- Focusing on technical expertise, problem-solving, and continuous learning to stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trend.
- Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP software applications like SAP GTS, edition for SAP HANA.
- Part of the Foreign Trade Solutions team, end-to-end lifecycle for SAP-based solutions in the areas of Trade Control, Customs and Preference Mgt. to ensure, that BASF complies with national and international trade laws, restrictions or prohibitions for imports and export.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
- Have 7+ years' experience working as a SAP ABAP developer or similar role, with 5+ years in ABAP OO 7.4/7.5 and 3+ years in CDS Development and RAP/CAP
- Possess experience in frontend/backend debugging.
- Have 1+ years' experience with some of the following: HANA DB and HANA Development, FIORI/SAPUI5, FIORI Elements, UI5/CDS Extensibility, OData and BOPF, SAP Cloud technology and SAP BTP development.
- Are knowledgeable and have applied know-how in agile working methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
- Have functional knowledge in OTC and P2P will be a plus.
- Possess great communication skills.
