About the role

  • You administratively manage the latest inventions — from invention disclosure to the patent’s end of term
  • Monitor deadlines throughout the patent process and take appropriate action
  • Independently handle communications — in English and German — with inventors, external law firms, international partners, patent offices, and internal business stakeholders
  • Work closely with patent attorneys as a strong team and oversee workflows
  • Ensure data quality in the database through regular QA reports
  • Prepare analyses and derive business-relevant measures
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of all relevant data in the IP management system according to our internal standards
  • Actively contribute your expertise to the further development of our digital processes
  • Share your knowledge — whether already existing or newly acquired — and thereby contribute to the continuous development of the team
  • Supervise and train apprentices and interns depending on your training and level of experience

Requirements

  • Completed qualification as a patent paralegal (preferred); alternatively, completed commercial/vocational training
  • Several years of relevant professional experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of patent matters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
  • Familiar with domain-specific systems (e.g., IP management systems such as Anaqua) and standard IT applications
  • Strong team player with a high degree of reliability
