About the role
- You will administratively manage the latest inventions – from the invention disclosure to the patent’s end of term
- You will not only monitor deadlines in patent proceedings but also handle them independently
- You will independently manage communications — in English and German — with inventors, external law firms, international partners, patent offices and internal business stakeholders
- Together with patent attorneys you will form a strong team
- You will ensure quality in the database through regular QA reports
- You will prepare analyses and derive business-relevant actions
- You will ensure precise maintenance of all relevant data in the IP management system according to our internal standards
- You will actively contribute your expertise to the further development of our digital processes
- You will share your knowledge — whether already existing or newly acquired — and thus contribute to the continuous development of the team
- Depending on your education and experience, you may also take on the supervision and training of trainees and interns
Requirements
- Completed training as a patent attorney clerk (preferred); alternatively, completed commercial/administrative vocational training
- Several years of relevant professional experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of patent matters
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in German and English
- Familiar with specialist systems (e.g., IP management systems such as Anaqua) and standard IT applications
- Strong team player with high reliability
