About the role
- conducting field trial protocols that support hybrid wheat breeding programmes
- setting up, maintaining and evaluating field trials to provide high-quality data to support product development
- conducting and supervising small-plot field trials from sowing to harvest
- identifying suitable trial sites, preparing the fields and carrying out planting and plant protection measures
- monitoring pest and disease infestation, collecting phenotypic data and ensuring accurate documentation
- analysis of seed quality, evaluation of trial data, and presenting results in internal meetings
- ensuring compliance with EHS, stewardship and QMS guidelines and actively participating in training courses and audits
Requirements
- degree in agronomy or a related field such as crop production, weed science or agricultural systems
- at least two years of professional experience in conducting small plot trials, ideally in the field of wheat
- in-depth knowledge of agricultural equipment and experience with trial equipment and data collection software
- very good knowledge of English and good German
- driving licence class B and ideally T
- team-oriented personality with a high degree of initiative, organisational skills and willingness to work outdoors in variable conditions
