About the role

  • Take responsibility for the operational processes in balancing group management for electricity and gas balancing groups
  • Support concept development through to implementation
  • Map customers into the balancing group structure in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands
  • Maintain data interfaces and business relationships with our market partners
  • Act as a contact person for relevant clearing matters
  • Check the daily import and dispatch of schedule data and the balancing group status in the markets
  • Ensure continuous coordination with portfolio management and trading
  • Book capacities with gas transmission system operators
  • Review balancing group settlements for electricity and gas
  • Responsible for the automation and further development of standard processes within the area of responsibility
  • Support the further development of energy industry processes and IT systems

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in business administration, industrial engineering, energy management or a comparable qualification
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in operational balancing group and nomination management in the electricity and gas markets
  • Familiarity with EDIFACT market communication messages
  • Experience in setting up, maintaining and further developing EDM systems, ideally with Kisters Belvis+/3
  • Excellent knowledge of electricity and gas markets and regulations in EU countries
  • Sound knowledge of imbalance settlement rules according to KoV and MaBiS
  • Defined on-call duty
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into non-technical language
  • Effective communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal
