About the role

  • Provide support to business units in preparing company income statements regarding cost center allocations
  • Explain deviations in results compared to other periods
  • Perform monthly EBIT analysis
  • Execute and support all activities related to billing not associated with the company’s core business
  • Perform daily and monthly activities related to Cost Center Accounting, Income Statement & Non-Trade processes for BASF Americas
  • Process the complete monthly distribution of expenses across different cost objects, generating the monthly income statement
  • Ensure consistency between financial and management modules
  • Provide and analyze the correct allocation of positions in monthly and annual income statements
  • Support process design and flow improvements
  • Seek automation opportunities through new technologies and systems
  • Support projects related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures of business lines or companies
  • Assist with key organizational tasks such as audits and internal controls.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting or related areas
  • Fluent English; Portuguese is a plus
  • Advanced Excel knowledge; SAP experience is a plus
  • Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills
  • Organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Proactivity and autonomy
  • Effective communication.
