About the role
- Optimising the organisation’s business operations through effective use of customs facilities
- Assessing and leveraging relevant customs legislations for cost efficiency and compliance
- Providing guidance and processing exemptions related to customs duties
- Managing the refund process for import and export
- Maintaining documentation to support compliance requirements
- Proactively planning responses to legislative changes
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of customs legislations and their related facilities
- Experience in managing customs facilities in the Asia-Pacific region
- Knowledge of the Customs Act and Sales Tax Act
- Experience in providing guidance on customs duties and sales tax exemptions
- Ability to manage documentation for compliance requirements
- Collaborative skills to work with consultants and service providers.
