About the role

  • Identify and develop automation and integration opportunities in collaboration with Commercial and account teams.
  • Engage early with customers to uncover operational needs and translate them into clear opportunity framing.
  • Define scope, assumptions, and delivery expectations that align customer priorities with technical feasibility.
  • Shape proposals that strengthen BW Packaging’s position as a trusted partner in automation and integration.
  • Represent BW Packaging in customer meetings, presentations, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Collaborate with estimating, controls, and project teams to validate scope and ensure commercial accuracy.
  • Coordinate with regional sales and account leaders to align priorities, share insights, and streamline opportunity progression.
  • Surface trends and feedback from assigned region to inform global strategy and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in business development, technical sales, or applications engineering within packaging, automation, or capital equipment sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align customer priorities with BW Packaging’s technical and delivery capabilities.
  • Proven ability to shape opportunities and coordinate across functions to align technical and commercial objectives.
  • Skilled in customer engagement, proposal framing, and opportunity qualification.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and relationship building abilities.
  • Flexibility to take on evolving responsibilities in response to strategic priorities and business needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with a technical or engineering background helpful
