About the role

  • support engineering group on the detailed electrical design of various industrial systems
  • project responsibilities include electrical power and control system design, equipment coordination, lighting products and systems, and electrical distribution
  • collaborate with engineers and other designers, incorporating electrical information into drawings from other disciplines
  • conduct field visits to client sites, such as industrial processing facilities, power plants, and renewable facilities

Requirements

  • two-year technical certificate or equivalent experience/coursework directly related to electrical design
  • 5+ years of relevant experience related to the job responsibilities described above
  • proficiency with current versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software
  • possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • must be legally authorized to work in Canada without the need for sponsorship from Barr Ltd., now or in the future
