Full-stack Engineer

• Lead our product engineering team and drive technical excellence across our e-commerce platform
• Manage a team of 2 engineers while remaining deeply involved in code — architecting solutions, reviewing pull requests, and shipping production features yourself
• Establish engineering standards, organize sprints, manage our cloud infrastructure, and ensure we deliver bug-free, high-quality software
• Pioneer AI-augmented development workflows, integrating tools like Claude Code into our daily engineering practices to maximize team velocity and code quality
• Report directly to the CTO and play a critical role in scaling our Shopify-integrated platform, improving system reliability, and building a high-performance engineering culture

Engineering Team Lead – All Genders

Content Marketing Manager

• Create, implement and maintain designs, graphics and print materials for our natural dog and cat food across various advertising and content channels (especially for social media and our local stores)
• Support the development of new labels with that special touch
• Optional: Contribute to our video production featuring our four-legged stars
• Research photos and imagery for the website, print materials and the newsletter
• Bring your own creative ideas and help shape the pet bowls in German households
• You will be part of our brand teams and work closely with other marketing departments to create campaigns
• Experience exciting projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment (and plenty of office dogs)

Data Scientist

• Own and evolve BARFER’S Data & Analytics strategy across Marketing, Commercial, and Operations
• Lead, mentor, and develop up to 2 Analytics Engineers / Data Analysts
• Act as the main sparring partner for Marketing, Management, and other business teams
• Ensure reliable, scalable data pipelines and models in our modern stack (Airbyte, dbt, BigQuery)
• Oversee tracking and attribution setups (GTM, GA4, Google Ads, Meta, Shopify, Klaviyo)
• Translate business goals into KPIs, metrics, and actionable insights
• Drive advanced analytics topics such as attribution modeling, cohort & retention analysis, experimentation, and forecasting
• Define and uphold data quality standards, governance, and best practices
• Build and review dashboards and reporting for operational teams and leadership (Metabase, BigQuery, GA4, Looker Studio)
• Make data accessible and understandable — turning complexity into clarity
