About the role

  • Design and execution of comprehensive testing strategies for complex, domain-specific firmware features.
  • Emphasis on color measurement, optical performance (light/brightness), macro-driven operations, lens file management, and 3D output systems.
  • Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Reports detailing the testing scope, methodology, and results for all assigned features.
  • Accurately document, prioritize, and track all defects using a standard bug-tracking system (e.g., JIRA).
  • Collaborate closely with Firmware Developers and Product Managers to clearly define acceptance criteria and test strategies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and test environments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software or firmware testing, with a dedicated focus on embedded systems or display/video technology.
  • Deep foundational knowledge of Color Science and Metrology (e.g., color space models, white point, black level, gamma, chromaticity).
  • Hands-on experience with professional color measurement instruments (colorimeters, spectroradiometers) and understanding of their integration with test software.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Optics, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a relentless commitment to identifying edge-case defects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex technical issues spanning hardware and firmware.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
