About the role

  • Design, develop, and validate laser diode and LED driver circuits for projection light sources.
  • Develop power supply architecture suitable for 1- or 3-chip DLP projectors, including: AC-DC and DC-DC converters, Constant-current sources for lasers and LEDs, High-efficiency, low-noise power solutions.
  • Define system-level power requirements, interfaces, and operating conditions for projection systems.
  • Specify electrical, thermal, EMC, and safety requirements for off-the-shelf power supplies and drivers.
  • Work closely with ‘external power supply and driver suppliers’ to: Define technical specifications, Review designs and schematics, Support prototype development, testing, and qualification.
  • Perform simulation and analysis of power electronics (e.g., control loops, efficiency, thermal behavior).
  • Support system integration, including bring-up, debugging, and optimization in projector prototypes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, EMC, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other engineers (mechanical, thermal, firmware) as well with operations teams (procurement, logistics, manufacturing).
  • Support transition from development to manufacturing and production.
  • Provide maintenance, support, and continuous improvement in power electronics for existing products.
