- Plan, lead, and direct medical coding teams
- Achieve business unit goals in unbilled accounts receivable and compliance
- Collaborate with Health Information Management System leadership
- Select, train, and motivate staff assigned to coding functions
- Drive organization performance improvements and monitor coding scorecard
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, health care administration, or related field
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification
- Three or more years of progressive coding leadership experience
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with coding software applications and common office software
