About the role

  • This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes.
  • Key responsibilities include developing a technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, and advocating and advancing modern, Agile solution delivery practices.
  • Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, providing feedback and hands on career development, identifying emerging talent, fostering leadership skills, and managing stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a global team of automation engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide input on staffing, budgeting, and strategic direction of automation programs.
  • Serve as a senior technical architect and thought leader in automation engineering.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing global technical teams and driving enterprise-wide initiatives
  • 10+ years of Unix/Linux systems administration and scripting (Shell, Python, YAML, XML, Perl)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform in enterprise environments (experience with other platforms such as Cutover, TrueSight Orchestrator, and Bladelogic is desirable)
  • Strong understanding of databases and PL/SQL programming
  • Proven experience in automation content lifecycle management and federated development models
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including ability to engage senior leadership
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in license compliance modeling and infrastructure asset analysis.
