About the role

Responsible for architecture, design and implementation of Strategic Data Initiatives
Leading data initiatives and implementation of platform capabilities
Building Modern Data Platform with integrated eco system of Advanced Analytics, AI and Modeling capabilities
Advocating and advancing modern, agile solution delivery practices
Works across business, operations and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision
Contributes to the creation of the architecture roadmap
Facilitates solution driven discussions and leads the design of complex architectures
Educates team members on the technology practices and best practices
Supports the team as needed to select the technology stack required for solutions
Performs design and code reviews

8+ years of technical architecture and solutions experience
5+ years in Big Data, Analytics and AI/ML areas
6+ years of hands-on experience in software development and/or data engineering
Extensive Experience in Platform Architecture, Solution Design, Development and Deployment
Deep platform level understanding with Big Data technologies including Hadoop, Impala, HIVE, Spark and NoSQL
Prior experience with Analytics and Machine Learning tools and technologies
Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining software frameworks using Kafka, Spark, Hadoop/MR, Python, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Deep Knowledge of Data Management & Governance principles
