About the role

  • Monitoring and continuous optimization of LLM models in production (response times, scaling, utilization)
  • Development and maintenance of AI assistants using LLMs, OCR, workflows, and agents
  • Integration of internal and external data sources and tools using MCP, Azure AI Search and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
  • Provisioning of AI assistants and services via REST APIs (FastAPI, OpenAPI)
  • Implementation of security and data protection measures in accordance with GDPR and the EU AI Act
  • Containerization and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm
  • Integration of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Azure Monitor for end-to-end traceability
  • Automation of deployments (Flux, Terraform, GitLab Pipelines)
  • Close collaboration with Data Engineers, compliance experts and developers to ensure secure assistant delivery (and future agent deployments)
  • Participation in the selection, fine-tuning and testing of new models (OpenAI, Azure AI, Hugging Face)

Requirements

  • Solid experience operating AI applications, ideally in regulated industries (banking, insurance, FinTech)
  • Proficiency in Python (FastAPI, LangChain), SQL and API design (OpenAPI)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure AI Foundry, Azure Document Intelligence, Azure AI Search, OpenAI API)
  • Experience with DevOps and security tools (Flux, GitLab Pipelines, Terraform)
  • Understanding of IT security, IAM, logging and audit capabilities
  • Interest in new technologies, structured working style and a high degree of personal responsibility
  • Excellent German and English skills (C1/C2 level)
