About the role
- Lead, develop and manage associate veterinarians in hospitals.
- Ensure the delivery of quality care and meet expected hospital performance measures.
- Partner with the Practice Manager to drive culture and quality care.
- Provide effective medical leadership by driving an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
- Validate clinical skillset and alignment with quality standards of veterinary staff.
- Oversee coaching program for newly hired veterinarians to ensure productive onboarding.
- Partner with the Director of Veterinary Quality to recruit veterinary talent.
- Manage medical equipment inventory and new medical equipment requests.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent foreign degree required.
- Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with all applicable state veterinary boards for assigned hospitals.
- 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.
