SOC Compliance Staff perform SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3 examinations, as well as consulting services for SOC examinations.
You will gain knowledge about execution of SOC examinations and testing of internal controls, including concepts of cloud computing and Information Technology (IT) controls.
In addition to the CPA, these team members may be asked to work toward the CISA, CISSP or CCAK.

Requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire; Baker Tilly will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT)
Must have a bachelor’s degree, with a preference for accounting majors
Ability to commute as needed throughout the region; to include Baker Tilly's offices
Ability to travel to client locations, including overnight stays, with travel expectations varying by department and office location
Seasonal flexibility to work overtime or additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
Major in Accounting or coursework in technology-related fields highly desirable
If an accounting major, meeting educational requirements to obtain CPA license upon hire, preferred
Reside within a commutable distance to a Baker Tilly office and be willing to work on-site on a regular basis
Excellent customer service skills; Ability to understand own and others' emotions to achieve desired goals
Creative problem solving, critical thinking and research skills; Organize information and exercise well-reasoned judgment
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Demonstrate confidence in decision making and poise in a professional setting
