About the role
- Originating sales by positioning Baker Hughes technology and identifying the most effective technical and commercial solutions
- Promoting the business value proposition of Baker Hughes technologies to customers
- Working in close collaboration with regional sales, account sales, and commercial proposal teams
- Serving as the primary technical contributor during the Demand‑to‑Inquiry (DTI) phase to support increased market penetration
- Handling products and systems that require advanced technical knowledge, with limited customization within established guidelines
- Contributing to pricing frameworks and commercial conditions, including negotiation of client‑specific terms where applicable
- Managing technical engagement with a diverse customer base across a defined region
- Cooperating with technical sales support teams to successfully execute sales opportunities
- Leading technical efforts for departments handling large estimated orders
- Supporting sales activities within a medium‑sized territory with a strong local market focus
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sales
- Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Technical Sales
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Experience leading initiatives of moderate scope and business impact
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective problem identification and solution development skills
- Proven analytical and organizational abilities
