About the role
- Provide customers with comprehensive service solutions for their critical rotating machinery assets.
- Evaluate equipment health using advanced vibration diagnostics and rotor dynamic analysis.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and optimized operation of machinery across diverse industrial applications.
- Diagnose machinery issues using vibration data, operational data, and customer insights.
- Travel to customer sites to deliver high‑quality technical support and service.
- Prepare timely, detailed reports outlining findings and actionable recommendations.
- Build strong customer relationships and serve as a trusted advisor for rotating equipment health.
- Calculate and supervise the placement of balance weights for machinery balancing.
- Apply and uphold Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards in all field activities.
Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with rotating equipment
- Have been willing to travel extensively (up to 70%) and work significant paid overtime
- Have a valid driver’s license and passport (or be able to obtain one)
- Have been eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- Have been able to travel internationally and occasionally work on offshore platforms
- Have a strong theoretical and practical understanding of reliability services
- Have an ISO certification in vibration analysis
- Have confidence and professionalism when interacting with customers and teams
- Have ability to perform under pressure and in challenging field conditions
- Have Project management capabilities
- Have proficiency with MS Office and general computer skills
- Have hands‑on mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Have ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and prints
- Have knowledge of rotating machinery operation and control systems
- Have familiarity with machinery protection and management systems
- Have experience with at least one of the following: mechanical vibration, rotating machinery diagnostics, rotodynamic analysis, PdM data acquisition/evaluation, machinery balancing or alignment
- Have knowledge of Bently Nevada products and services.
