About the role
- Work with the Director, Sustainment and Mission Systems to plan and execute the delivery of projects with the Marine and Mission Systems division
- Provide support and direction to the Babcock project delivery teams to ensure the day-to-day execution of Babcock’s engineering support function delivers to a standard that meets or exceeds the requirements of the contract
- Provide support to business development activities as required to support achieving Marine and Mission Systems division strategic objectives
- Support in the effective management of the resources allocated to projects in our matrix organization, influencing and leading team members
- Determine appropriate governance arrangements including identification and monitoring of risks, planning, and implementing responses to these
- Build consensus among cross-functional team members and balance multiple, concurrent priorities
- Work closely and collaboratively with government and non-government stakeholders, managing geographically dispersed relationships
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain to resolve a range of complex issues and identify external dependencies
Requirements
- Recognized University Degree or College diploma in Engineering, Project Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8 plus years’ experience in successfully managing projects with multiple stakeholders, preferably within the Naval or Marine sector
- Eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
