About the role
- Taking the lead in managing complex employee relations cases and settlement negotiations
- Coaching and supporting the ER team
- Influencing business best practices, developing policies and processes
- Building strong stakeholder relationships
- Helping to shape a positive, fair, and legally compliant workplace
- Acting as the first point of contact for all ER-related matters
- Providing governance and guidance for change programmes, including TUPE and restructuring
- Advising and coaching managers on employment law and policy to ensure fair and consistent decisions
- Building partnerships with business leaders and HR teams to sustain positive employee relations
- Keeping up to date with employment law, legislation, and best practice.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Employee Relations expert within a complex global organisation
- Strong understanding of ER, employment law, and relevant legislation
- Experience operating in a unionised environment
- Commercially and data-driven approach with innovative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with confidence and proactivity.
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
