About the role
- Lead and motivate a team of mechanical fitters across submarine projects.
- Plan and oversee repair, replacement, overhaul and maintenance activities.
- Champion health and safety standards in all production activities.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
- Develop team capability through coaching and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of health and safety processes in production environments.
- Experience supervising a team or the ambition to step up and learn.
- Knowledge of repair, replacement, overhaul and maintenance processes.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems and practices.
- ONC or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant mechanical discipline.
- ILM Level 3 (or equivalent leadership qualification).
- IOSH certificate (or equivalent safety qualification).
