About the role

  • Partner with the SVP Field Sales to achieve the revenue, share, and profit growth objectives in the assigned accounts.
  • Develop and implement the right customer-specific plans for accounts in a manner that is not disruptive to the balance of the market.
  • Lead a team of salespersons and analysts.
  • Provide recommendations on the optimal manner of “going to market” at the customer level.
  • Lead the execution of plans to establish and maintain deep and lasting relationships with customers.
  • Assure the right people are in place to drive the consistent accomplishment of this goal.
  • Track and report on the progress of establishing partnerships with customers and achieving sales objectives.
  • Assess and report on the progress made with each customer to ensure the goals are achieved and adjustments are made promptly.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and HQ for all forecasting activities.
  • Maintain forecast models for customers incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from key sources.

Requirements

  • 10+ plus years of consumer packaged goods sales experience across grocery and other channels, Kroger experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in both direct and broker sales models.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing critical resources while still growing brands.
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving sales goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing collaborative working relationships with the leaders of the commercial leadership team.
  • Must have the ability to lead a sales organization that services customers in multiple distribution channels.
  • Must have excellent presentation skills with sound business acumen.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
