About the role
- Partner with the SVP Field Sales to achieve the revenue, share, and profit growth objectives in the assigned accounts.
- Develop and implement the right customer-specific plans for accounts in a manner that is not disruptive to the balance of the market.
- Lead a team of salespersons and analysts.
- Provide recommendations on the optimal manner of “going to market” at the customer level.
- Lead the execution of plans to establish and maintain deep and lasting relationships with customers.
- Assure the right people are in place to drive the consistent accomplishment of this goal.
- Track and report on the progress of establishing partnerships with customers and achieving sales objectives.
- Assess and report on the progress made with each customer to ensure the goals are achieved and adjustments are made promptly.
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and HQ for all forecasting activities.
- Maintain forecast models for customers incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from key sources.
Requirements
- 10+ plus years of consumer packaged goods sales experience across grocery and other channels, Kroger experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience in both direct and broker sales models.
- Demonstrated experience in managing critical resources while still growing brands.
- Demonstrated experience in achieving sales goals.
- Demonstrated experience in developing collaborative working relationships with the leaders of the commercial leadership team.
- Must have the ability to lead a sales organization that services customers in multiple distribution channels.
- Must have excellent presentation skills with sound business acumen.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
