About the role

  • Serve as the Axios Live product expert across Client Partnerships teams, joining client calls to answer questions, inform pricing, shape integrated solutions, and guide strategic recommendations.
  • Own event pipeline reporting and performance analysis, including regular forecasting and tracking against quarterly and annual revenue goals, and surface insights and risks to sales and senior leadership to inform strategy and prioritization.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Axios Live client base and territories to proactively plan and prioritize sponsorship opportunities across all event products, including custom events, industry tentpoles, Axios Houses, and Axios Summits.
  • Support client and sales engagement through contracting and the pre- to post-sale transition, ensuring alignment on final scope, deliverables, and inventory in partnership with event operations.
  • Partner with the Legal team to develop and maintain event contract templates and review agreements prior to client delivery to ensure accurate representation of program scope and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Marketing and the Axios Live Strategy team to develop and manage go-to-market strategies and materials for Axios Live offerings, including product rollouts, activation frameworks, talk tracks, FAQs, and internal and external communications.
  • Support strategic account renewals and campaign wrap-up materials, driving retention and growth across Axios Live clients.
  • Drive sales enablement and process optimization by educating Client Partnerships teams on Axios Live offerings, best practices, and evolving event products, while identifying opportunities to standardize and improve event sales processes to scale efficiently across teams.
  • This role reports to the Head of Axios Live Partnerships.

Requirements

  • 7+ yrs experience in media and/or event sales, client relations, sponsorships
  • Proactive, analytical, and proven ability to deliver against targets and goals.
  • Experience working with a CRM and analytics to identify trends in data to benefit the sponsorship sales and management of Axios Live clients.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the evolving needs of a high-growth sales team
  • High emotional intelligence and deep commitment to progressive diversity and inclusion practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suite products
