About the role

  • As an Enterprise Cloud Engineer, you will shape the next generation of cloud infrastructures together with our engineering team
  • Design modern, hyper-converged infrastructures (DCI) with software-defined compute, storage and networking
  • Serve as technical lead for enterprise cloud projects across the entire lifecycle
  • Work closely with customers to develop tailored solutions
  • Collaborate directly with our technology partners to further develop our solution portfolio
  • Help shape our enterprise cloud portfolio by evaluating new technologies
  • Provide technical support during the sales process as a knowledgeable sparring partner for customers and the sales team

Requirements

  • Completed advanced vocational education in Computer Science (HF/FH) or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of hands-on experience designing and operating private cloud infrastructures
  • Solid knowledge of system engineering (compute, storage, virtualization, networking)
  • Expertise in hyper-converged infrastructures (HCI) – experience with Nutanix, VMware vSAN or comparable platforms is a plus
  • Strong familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware ESXi, AHV, KVM or Hyper‑V)
  • Understanding of software-defined infrastructure – storage, networking and compute
  • Experience with backup & data protection (e.g. Rubrik, HYCU, Veeam)
  • Knowledge of automation & Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) is a plus
  • Interest in modern architectures: container platforms (Kubernetes) and cloud-native approaches
  • Strong communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
