About the role

  • Support process for powertrain control requirements development
  • Design, simulate, implement, debug, test and research control and estimation algorithms for various electrical, mechanical, and thermal systems in powertrain systems
  • Engage with suppliers and other stake holders to review hardware and software attributes
  • Develop the Software and Controls for the electrified powertrain

Requirements

  • Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent)
  • Automotive engineering knowledge / experience in design and validation for electrified powertrain systems
  • Experience of automotive control systems software development, data logging and calibration tools
  • Proficient in MS office tools (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to interface constructively with a global team
  • Driving license valid for driving in the UK
  • Experience in electrified powertrain area (Preferable)
  • Knowledge in machine learning, AI algorithms and predictive control systems (Preferable)
  • A working knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication protocols CANFD, FlexRay and Automotive Ethernet (Preferable)
  • Awareness of ISO 26262 and ASPICE (Preferable)
  • Experience with Vector (e.g., CANalyzer, CANape) and Mathworks tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink) or equivalent (Preferable)
  • Ability to work in an agile work environment (Preferable)
  • Project Management (Preferable)
